The Power of Yoga To Create Social Change

Yoga is a pathway to personal power, boundaries, self care AND community care.

Yoga is for everyone. All bodies belong in yoga because yoga is about attuning to and communing with the forces within and around us — the force of unity and oneness.

Unity = Everybody. It’s as simple as that.

Once you experience the depth of wonder that yoga can unlock within you personally, it’s only natural to want to share this — once you’ve cared for yourself, you naturally want to care for your community.

If you’ve ever felt curious about being a yoga teacher, then you know exactly what I mean...

In this video I dive deeper into how yoga is a tool for social change:

Yoga has huge power because it’s opened so many people’s eyes to the possibility of living life in a better way - a healthier way, a more integrated way.

Now, it’s time for the next generation — the next paradigm — of modern yoga. It’s time for self care to give way to community care.

If you have a gut feeling, a nudge or sorts, that yoga is the vehicle you’re looking for to create the social change you want to see in the world, I’m giving you permission to trust that.

You might be thinking “but who am I to become a yoga leader?”

Well, only you can truly answer that… but I can tell you that if you’re someone who wants to make a community impact and wants to live a life with purpose, leave a legacy, and continue to grow & evolve personally along the way…

...then you have everything that’s needed to help usher in the social change that yoga can bring forward in our communities today.

There’s no end to the path of yoga. It’s a lifelong path of inquiry. You will never be “good enough” (because you’re good enough as you are right now!). You can learn yoga your whole life and not be done!

Meanwhile… the yoga world desperately needs teachers who will lead with integrity, embody and honor the roots of yoga.

You can make an impact, make some money and bring more Unity to the world by listening to that nudge. So let this be your reminder to believe in the power of yoga — and believe in your own power — to create social change.
